Since I’ve gotten my Ipod Nano + Nike, I’ve run 18 times for a total of 78.47 miles at an average total pace of 8’25″ per mile. I’ve also been to the gym quite a bit, doing both lifting and cardio, as well as running stairs. Do I feel like I’m prepared for the race? Yes. Did I do everything possible to be in the best shape? No, but I’m actually satisified with where I am now. I’m in good shape, I’m eating healthy, and I’ve even lost a few pounds. Now I just need to make sure when the race is over I continue this trend..
I’m really looking forward to the NYC weekend. We connived Hoelscher into coming, and he, myself, Sprad, and Ashley are staying in a hotel in Times Square. Baggio is also running in the race and will be hanging out. We’re hoping to see and do a lot on Friday night and Saturday, while obviously resting up Saturday night for the race. It’ll be hard to resist partying like a rockstar, but I think Sprad and I will manage.
