It’s been a while since my last post.. I’ve been busy! Where to begin?
March Madness was amazing. Up until the Final Four it was arguably one of the best tournaments yet. Sadly, the Final Four was all but exciting as Florida won it all. Seth ended up winning the RossGilmore.com March Madness pool, making it two consecutive years that a Winter has won the pool. My pool was just as exciting as the Final Four, however, as no one had a SINGLE team in the finals. Ha.
My thesis is done! Oh how wonderful it feels to have it behind me. I turned in the final draft on March 28th, and then gave my thesis presentation on March 30th. I am now awaiting final revisions, but the worst is far behind. I am now wrapping up my 4th year Computer Design and Digital Logic class, where we’re pipelining our processor and (attempting) to make it faster. School is all but about done for me now..
April is formal month at UVA, and there have been plenty of them. April 8th was Ashley’s parent’s formal – as Mr. Davis came into town and we had a good time at the Omni. In addition to Jay, Hoelscher, and multiple other Phi Psi’s being in attendance, Sprad, Brian, Nan, Beau, and Mary all crashed as well. That was a great weekend. Phi Psi’s formal is April 22 on a dinner cruise in Washington D.C. – we’re going to head up to Baltimore the Friday night before and go to Medieval Times! What better way to precede a formal then to show your date some chivalry?
My birthday is this Sunday! Yes, you can celebrate Easter and my birthday on the same day! We’re going to have a mini Rossapalooza – nothing like last year – on Friday night. Then I’m headed home Saturday and Sunday.
What’s left? Graduation is right around the corner – May 21. Scary! Foxfield is in the near future, as well as exams and beach week. We booked a trip to Cancun for graduation, which should be amazing. Then the family cruise is July 1-8. And then I start work on July 31st. The next few months will be very exciting and busy!
