Congratulations to Julie and Britton, my first two friends to get engaged!
Julie is a 4th year at UVA with us, and lives in the same house as Ashley. She’s in the engineering school with me, and went to high school with Beau and Tessier. Britton is a senior at the Naval Academy – and has been dating Julie for over 6 years now. He comes up to UVA frequently to see Julie (and beau and tessier and the rest of the New Orleans kids at UVA) and so I’ve come to know him really well – he even spent one 4th of July at my house.
This past weekend Britton came in town and we all got to hang out a lot. He and Julie came to my date function at Down Under, then they had an engagement party semi-formal at Julie’s house Saturday night.
Britton and Julie are both great people and I’m really happy for them and their future together. Congratulations!
